Total cane crushed for the first half of the month of May was reported at 42,644 TMT and was the 2nd highest total on the chart below. Just beneath 2011’s period of 43,235 TMT.
Sugar production is close to a 5 year avg for this period and as expected ethanol production is far surpassing recent years and when looking at peak ethanol production in Aug/Sept period this early total in May rivals those numbers.
